MULTICULTURAL MULTILINGUAL EDUCATION
The Program in Multicultural Multilingual Education offers initial certification program at the Master's Level in both ESOL and Foreign Language Education. These programs prepare teacher candidates to become effective language teachers in K-12 settings. This program is designed so that, if pursued full-time, students can complete coursework in one year (for example, Summer, Fall, Spring, Summer).
The program also prepares language teachers abroad through its TOEFL Certificate Program. In this graduate level program, participants take 9 hours of courses in Second Language Teaching Methodology Courses and complete a 2 hour supervised internship that prepares them to teach English abroad.
