Sport Management, Recreation Management and Physical Education



The Program in Sport Management in the Department of Sport Management, Recreation Management and Physical Education at Florida State University is seeking a tenure-track colleague who has teaching and research expertise in one or more of the sport management core content areas as defined by NASSM/NASPE guidelines. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, maintain an active research agenda, have research methods and statistical acumen appropriate for the effective mentoring of master's and doctoral student research, and contribute to department and university growth. Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in sport management or related field, or J. D. who has an established research agenda in the sport management field; college/university teaching experience; evidence of scholarly activity or the potential for scholarly activity. Sport industry experience is preferred.

Teacher Education



The College of Education seeks a dynamic scholar and teacher in the area of young children's learning in mathematics or science for the Anne and John Daves Endowed Professorship. The successful candidate will provide leadership in creating an elementary education program with a special focus in mathematics and science, capitalizing on our association and faculty affiliation with the Florida Center for Research in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (FCR-STEM). Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in educational psychology, elementary education, Math Education, Science Education, or related field; university teaching experience; and a record of scholarly publication commensurate with the rank of tenured professor. The candidate must demonstrate a history of excellence in scholarship in the nature of children's mathematics and/or science learning and have a well-defined and continuing research agenda. He or she must also have a sustained record of experience in working closely with children in school settings and a record of success in attracting external funding.
