Applying

Applying is simple! Just submit your information here and contact the College of Education’s Office of Academic Services to discuss enrollment in courses.

Florida State University does not usually post minors on student transcripts, however, the Florida Department of Education requires the Professional Option be posted on student transcripts.

Instructions:

1. Please complete the following form in its entirety in order to enroll in the general Minor in Education at FSU. The minor consists of five (5) specific courses that cover the professional education portion of Florida certification requirements.
2. Completion of the Minor in Education will NOT constitute completion of an approved educator preparation program, but will merely give you courses that can later assist you in seeking Florida Certification.
3. Enrollment in the Education minor will allow you to take the five(5) courses necessary for completion of the minor, but does not guarantee you enrollment in other education courses, nor will it make you eligible to participate in a student teaching internship through the Florida State.
