Aubrey Kent
Associate Professor, Sport Management, Recreation Management and Physical Education
Aubrey Kent. He is an associate professor of sport management in the department of sport management, recreation management and physical education at FSU and the director and graduate coordinator of the sport management program. His primary areas of research are leadership and organizational behavior within sport and the marketing of sport services. He was named president-elect of the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) and was also inducted as one of the organization's fellows in 2006. Kent has also been named as a COE Council on Research in Education (CORE) research fellow. He currently serves on the editorial review board of the Sport Management Education Journal, and has served as a guest reviewer for several publications. His published work includes articles in the Journal of Sport Management, The European Journal of Sport Management, The Journal of Park and Recreation Administration, The International Sports Journal and The Journal of Applied Sport Psychology. Kent received a Ph.D. in Sport Management from Ohio State University, a master's in human kinetics (M.H.K) from the University of Windsor, and a bachelor's of physical and health education (B.PHE) from the University of Toronto.
