Barbara C. Palmer is a Professor of Reading and Language Arts. With an expertise in language and literacy development, she has presented at state, national, and international conferences. Her publications include numerous journal articles, book chapters, and several books; she is also the developer of the Figurative Language Interpretation Test, which focuses on reading comprehension. Currently, she teaches graduate courses in theory and research in reading, diagnosis of reading disabilities, and language and literacy development through storytelling/story writing.
