Master's Degree Program in Instructional Systems with a Major in Performance Improvement and Human Resource Development
Overview
The Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems offers an online Master's in Instructional Systems with a Major in Performance Improvement and Human Resource Development.
The 36 semester credit hour Masters Program is designed for entry level and experienced individuals who desire a career in training, career and organizational development. It focuses on the analysis of human performance problems in the workplace, and the design, development, management, and evaluation of instructional and non-instructional solutions to those performance problems. The principles and techniques taught in this program cut across all organization and industry sectors - profits and nonprofits, public and private. Some specific occupations suited to this program include:
- Trainers
- Consultants
- Instructional Designers
- Human Resource Specialists
- Anyone contemplating a career in training, employee development and organizational change
The Master's Program is designed for full-time employees and graduate students who have, or will have, responsibility for the coordination of the various functions that pertain to human performance improvement, and in the leadership and managerial roles in training and human resource development.
Admissions
Applicants are encouraged to apply for admission, all of which may be accomplished online. Two FSU web sites will make this process relatively painless, but none the less requiring your patience:

Requirements include submission of official college and university transcripts, submission of GRE scores, submission of three letters of recommendation, a comprehensive work history resume, a letter of intent and purpose statement, and submission of the FSU graduate application. Additionally, students are to submit a departmental application. Please review departmental requirements for admissions at the EPLS website.

All course work is available online so students can remain in the comfort of their home and complete the MS entirely online.

Costs

Financial Aid & Fee Waiver
Out-of-state distance learning students who are fully admitted to FSU or who are special students are eligible for a partial tuition waiver. Financial aid is also available for students who are enrolled in at least six semester hours of coursework each semester.
