Classroom Field Experience
Pre-internships and Practicum
The Office of Early Field Experience works with teacher preparation programs and local school districts to coordinate field-based experiences with PK-12 students. The pre-internship “field experience” provides students an opportunity to participate in teaching activities in a classroom with a certified teacher. Instructors and the field experience coordinator work to provide education students with a diversity of placements, supportive supervision and an experience that will challenge and help re-affirm their choice of profession.
The Office of Early Field Experiences, 2301 Stone Building (STB) is available to assist students through the clearance and placement process and also provides support during the field-based experience.
