The Learning Systems Institute

The Learning Systems Institute (LSI) is one of the oldest, largest and most productive university-based research and development organizations dedicated to improving learning and human performance. Founded in 1969 by College of Education professor Robert M. Morgan, LSI houses leading researchers in education, performance improvement and expertise. These experts take a multidisciplinary approach to examining critical challenges facing our world and design innovative strategies to address them. Using a big-picture approach that analyzes problems in all their complexity, LSI faculty formulate and implement solutions for a wide variety of funding agencies, including government, schools, businesses, the military and others. Through partnerships with institutions across the globe, the institute builds project-based teams that work in domains as varied as finance, healthcare, sports and national security, tackling projects both local and international in scope.
